2 days agoTy Gibbs has arguably been 2025's biggest disappointment because normally young drivers on top teams are supposed to rapidly progress while Gibbs has been significantly slower in 2025 since losing his old crew chief Chris Gayle to Denny Hamlin's No. 11. However, Gibbs is starting to turn it around as his Martinsville run was solid when considering his cool suit was failing and he was spun out by Tyler Reddick and Gibbs finally earned his first top ten in 14 starts at Darlington, and he followed up by qualifying 6th at Darlington yesterday, his best start of the season. Since Gibbs had arguably the two best race of his career with a combined 239 laps led in the 2023 Bristol Night Race and last year's March race, Gibbs is one of the best DFS options if you think he'll lead a lot of laps. However, the fact that Hamlin won his first short track race with Gayle while Gibbs markedly fell off suggests that Gibbs will need more time to jell with his new crew chief Tyler Allen before he fights for a win again.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
