1 day agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Friday. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks. The 2023 NBA MVP dealt with the injury for the entire 2024-25 campaign. Unfortunately, it limited him to only 19 games. In addition, Embiid wasn't productive, at least compared to previous season, averaging 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and a career-low 29.9% shooting from behind the arc. While his days of being the best player in the league could be over, he at least could remain in the conversation. But first Embiid will need to figure out how to stay healthy, something he hasn't been able to do since being selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
