Mike Tauchman Goes Back On Injured List
1 week agoThe Chicago White Sox announced on Thursday that they placed outfielder Mike Tauchman (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list due to a right-hamstring strain and recalled outfielder Joshua Palacios from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The team also released right-hander Juan Carela. It will be Tauchman's second trip to the IL already this year after beginning the regular season on the shelf due to a right-hamstring strain that he initially suffered in spring training. The 34-year-old veteran returned from the IL on Sunday but quicky aggravated the injury while running the bases on Wednesday and will be forced to miss more time. It's likely that he'll be forced to miss more than 10 days to let his hamstring fully recover. Brooks Baldwin is making the start in left field for Chicago on Thursday against the Guardians, but Michael Taylor and Palacios will also be options there for however long Tauchman is out.
