Trevon Diggs Might Not Be Ready For Start Of Season
3 days agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) might not be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season this fall. Diggs had surgery on his left knee in late January, putting his status firmly in doubt for Week 1, especially since it's the same knee the 26-year-old defensive back suffered an ACL tear in back in 2023. In addition to his knee injury, Diggs also dealt with ankle, calf and foot injuries in 2024 and was limited to 11 starts, recording 42 tackles (35 solo), two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in his fifth year in Dallas. The former second-round selection (51st overall) in 2020 out of Alabama was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 when he had a league-high 11 interceptions. Since then, though, Diggs has had six picks in 30 games and has been saddled by injuries the last two seasons.
