EPL Betting Picks and Game Previews for Matchday 32: English Premier League

Jamie Steed previews EPL Matchday 32 of the 2024-25 season, starting on 4/12/2025. He previews each game from the English Premier League, picking bets and providing predictions for each game.

The EPL season rolls on, and we're bringing you our weekly article, which looks at betting picks and predictions for all games. Matchday 32 kicks off on Saturday, April 12, with Crystal Palace visiting Manchester City. It culminates on Monday, April 14, when Bournemouth hosts Fulham.

Every week, we'll offer a preview of all the games. We'll predict the outcome, give a score prediction, and pick our favorite play for all fixtures. Before you read on, remember these essential things: betting on sports should be fun. If you aren't having fun with it, stop. Also, never bet what you can't afford to lose.

We're bringing you more soccer content than ever before at RotoBaller. There are FPL, UCL, and DFS articles every week, along with our weekly betting picks and game previews article, all of which can be found here. Follow the team on X (@EuanFPL, @TheFPLManual, @df_solutions, @BellRoto, and yours truly @Baseball_Jimbo), and reach out to any of us if you ever have any soccer questions.

Matchday 31 Recap

To use a cliche, it was a game of two halves last week. Well, at least a weekend of two parts. On Saturday, we crushed it. We got 13 of our 15 picks correct, including two correct score predictions. We just needed a Brighton equalizer and West Ham United to have held on for a clean sweep of picks.

Then Sunday happened. Two goalless draws hit us hard. Liverpool's surprise defeat at Fulham also ended two of our parlays, and we only predicted one result correctly. Thankfully, Newcastle cruised to a win on Monday, as we expected, helping us to hit one of our three parlays.

It was only the second "total goals parlay" we've hit this season. But it gave us a nice profit for the weekend and put us into the black for the season. We'll be aiming to get on a run and finish out the season strongly.

Manchester City (-195) vs. Crystal Palace (+475) - 7:30 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Manchester City 1 - 1 Crystal Palace

Man City has been struggling for goals recently. They've scored five goals in their last six EPL games, blanking three times. The loss of Erling Haaland won't help. City might need to rely on the sentiment around Kevin De Bruyne's first home game since announcing his impending departure.

Palace hasn't lost any of their last 10 away games. They've also scored in all but two of their 14 games on the road this season. I fancy the visitors can get something from this game but backing a City defeat at home is risky. We'll be playing both teams to score instead.

Brighton (-320) vs. Leicester City (+900) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Brighton 3 - 1 Leicester City

After four straight league wins, Brighton's taken just one point from their last three games. If they want to get back into the European qualification mix, a win here is essential. That's precisely what we're going to play.

Leicester set an unwanted record on Monday. While I'm confident they will score again soon, they've also been shipping in goals. I can see this game finishing 2-1 or 2-0 to the hosts too so backing the 'over/under' or the 'both teams to score' bets in a parlay feels too risky.

Nottingham Forest (+115) vs. Everton (+265) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Nottingham Forest 1 - 0 Everton

Forest's odds seem to reflect their away record rather than what they've been doing at home. On their travels, Forest have lost four of their last five games, conceding 15 goals. At the City Ground, Forest are unbeaten in their last nine games, winning seven. They have kept four straight clean sheets.

Everton has been tough to beat, losing just one of their last six games. The problem has been that they've not won any of them. The Toffees have also scored no more than once in any of their last five games and needed a controversial penalty to score last week. A home win feels like the best play.

Southampton (+450) vs. Aston Villa (-170) - 10:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Southampton 1 - 2 Aston Villa

Leicester was not the only side to break a record last matchday. The Saints had their relegation confirmed and became the earliest-ever team to be relegated from the EPL. That led to manager Ivan Jurić's departure from the club. We have seen teams play better when their relegation has been confirmed.

Even if Southampton does play with more freedom and puts in a better performance, there's little chance they beat Villa. If the visitors rotate their team with the Champions League second leg in mind, they should still have enough to take all three points here.

Southampton's conceded 18 goals in their last six home league games. Villa's been amongst the goals lately, scoring 23 goals in their last 11 games in all competitions. Villa could easily score three goals themselves, so we'll play over 2.5 total goals and an away win.

Arsenal (-165) vs. Brentford (+450) - 12:30 p.m. EDT

Score prediction: Arsenal 2 - 1 Brentford

Arsenal's famous 3-0 win against Real Madrid in midweek helped overcome the disappointment of last week's draw at Everton. Liverpool's subsequent defeat at Fulham could have opened the door for an unlikely title charge if the Gunners had beaten Everton.

Brentford's five-game winning run in away games was ended by Newcastle on their last trip. The Bees' 14 away games have seen both teams score in nine of them. But they've lost on five of their seven visits to top-10 teams. We'll play both teams scoring with a home victory.

Sunday, April 13, 2025

Chelsea (-320) vs. Ipswich Town (+700) - 9:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Chelsea 1 - 0 Ipswich Town

Chelsea has scored three goals in its last four league games. Although goals have been hard to come by, the Blues have kept a clean sheet in four of their previous five EPL fixtures. Only Arsenal managed to breach their defense during that run.

Ipswich's relegation was all but confirmed with last week's defeat. Again, that might help them relax and play with more freedom. We will play for this to be a low-scoring encounter, with Chelsea's attacking woes continuing. Under 2.5 total goals is our pick in this encounter.

Liverpool (-320) vs. West Ham United (+750) - 9:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Liverpool 2 - 0 West Ham United

Despite last week's defeat, Liverpool still has an 11-point lead atop the table. They only need 11 points from their remaining seven games to seal the title. The Reds also look set to renew the contracts of their two best players in the coming days.

West Ham's last 10 games have seen a total of 19 goals. They've remained inconsistent but haven't conceded more than two goals in any of their last 11 games. I expect Liverpool to win but the Hammers should make things difficult. As a result, we'll play the favorable odds for under 2.5 total goals.

Wolves (+125) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (+205) - 9:00 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Wolves 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur

Wolves pretty much sealed their survival when beating Ipswich. They're not mathematically safe, so we may not yet see them completely take their foot off the gas. They will also welcome back top scorer Matheus Cunha from suspension for this game.

Spurs will be hoping the Europa League can salvage something from what has been a poor season. They may opt to rotate their lineup to focus on their European campaign which might give Wolves enough impetus to pick up the three points.

However, we're going to play the goal markets instead. Wolves have scored in each of their last eight games. They've only kept four clean sheets at Molineux all season. Spurs have gone six league games without a clean sheet, so we'll take both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals.

Newcastle United (-150) vs. Manchester United (+360) - 11:30 a.m. EDT

Score prediction: Newcastle United 2 - 0 Manchester United

The Red Devils only two wins in their last eight EPL games came against sides in the relegation zone. They've not scored more than two goals against any side currently higher than 14th in the table. They've also failed to score in three of their seven away games against top-10 sides.

Newcastle has won four consecutive games, including the EFL Cup final triumph over Liverpool. The Geordies won the reverse fixture 2-0, and I'm backing a similar outcome here. Like the Spurs, Manchester United is relying on the Europa League to salvage its season, so we'll take a home win.

Monday, April 14, 2025

Bournemouth (+115) vs. Fulham (+225) - 3:00 p.m. EDT

Score prediction: Bournemouth 2 - 2 Fulham

Last weekend, Bournemouth ended their three-game losing streak in all competitions. The 2-2 draw at West Ham did make it eight games without a win. That run has seen the Cherries slip down to 10th in the table and three points behind Monday's opponent.

Both teams have scored in six of Fulham's last eight games. There were at least three goals in each of those six matches. There have been at least three goals in each of the last five league meetings between these two. Both teams scored in four of them. We'll play the over and both teams scoring to round off the matchday.
