1 week agoThe Chicago White Sox reinstated left-hander Tyler Gilbert (knee) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned left-hander Brandon Eisert to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Gilbert made two minor-league rehab appearances at Charlotte last week before the White Sox felt he was ready to join their big-league bullpen. The 31-year-old veteran southpaw won't be on the fantasy radar as he operates in a middle-relief role for the Pale Hose. He had a 3.24 ERA (4.85 FIP) and 1.44 WHIP with four strikeouts and two walks in six relief appearances over 8 1/3 innings for the Philadelphia Phillies in the majors in 2024. Over the course of his four-year big-league career (three with the Arizona Diamondbacks), Gilbert has posted a 4.23 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 68:30 K:BB in an even 100 innings over 34 outings (13 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
