Andres Gimenez Getting A Breather On Tuesday
1 week agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez is out of the starting lineup for the first time this season on Tuesday against the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Gimenez got off to a fast start offensively in his first year in Toronto with three home runs and eight RBI, but he has just one hit in his last 13 at-bats to drop his early-season average to .231 (9-for-39). Expect the 26-year-old to be back in the lineup on Wednesday. Davis Schneider will take over at the keystone on Tuesday and will hit sixth against Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet. Schneider won't be a recommended DFS play, as he's facing a tough left-hander and is still searching for his first hit in 2025 after going hitless in his first 13 plate appearances over seven games with six strikeouts. He's gone hitless in three career at-bats against Crochet.
