Justin Simmons Hopes To Sign Before Training Camp, Willing To Wait For Right Fit
4 days agoFour-time All-Pro safety Justin Simmons remains unsigned following the first month of NFL free agency, and the 31-year-old is in no rush to join a new team as he waits to find the right fit. Simmons signed with the Atlanta Falcons last August after spending eight seasons with the Denver Broncos, so a similar timeline could play out in 2025. Simmons has collected 665 tackles (478 solo), 4.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 32 interceptions, and 71 pass deflections since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Boston College. Simmons mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential landing spot thanks to his previous relationship with former Broncos head coach and current Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Simmons hopes to sign before training camp, but he'll continue to wait for the right opportunity to continue his playing career into his 10th NFL season.
