D'Angelo Russell Unavailable Against Pelicans

D'Angelo Russell Sidelined On Sunday
2 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Raptors. The Nets have five games left on the schedule. However, Brooklyn isn't going anywhere near the postseason in any capacity, so it's possible Russell is done for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. With Nicolas Claxton (rest) and Cameron Johnson (back) also ruled out, Keon Johnson, Ziaire Williams, and Trendon Watford may be the most reliable fantasy options, although Tyrese Martin and Drew Timme may also get more involved.

D'Angelo Russell Won't Play Versus Washington
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) won't play on Saturday against Washington. The veteran had only five points in 18 minutes in Friday's loss to the Clippers. With that in mind, the Nets can't earn a Play-In berth, so Russell along with Nicolas Claxton (rest), who also suit up, and Cameron Johnson could see less work for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. As a result, Keon Johnson should handle things at the one, with Reece Beekman also in line for more work.

D'Angelo Russell Could Miss Monday's Game Against Mavericks
4 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) has been tagged as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets have been looking forward to the draft lottery rather than the playoffs, so Russell has been on a trend of playing a few games and getting one off for rest. This could be the first time he's missed consecutive games since February. If he's unable to suit up, Keon Johnson and Tyrese Martin should remain in the starting five. In their last game, Johnson posted 17 points, four rebounds, one assist, and three steals across 33 minutes.
