Joey's top landing spots for Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, and Jaxson Dart in the 2025 NFL Draft. His top picks for where these quarterbacks will land in the draft
We are just a few weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft taking place on April 24. The Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants currently own the top three picks in the upcoming draft. Even though all three teams are in the market for a quarterback, we shouldn't expect all three to take a quarterback this early in the first round.
The top three quarterbacks in this year's class are Cameron Ward, Shedeur Sanders, and Jaxson Dart. Ward and Sanders are both locks to go early in the first round, and Dart will likely find himself going in the first round as well.
So, what are the best team fits for Ward, Sanders, and Dart? Where is each quarterback expected to land in the 2025 NFL Draft? Let's dive in and examine the draft outlooks for those three quarterbacks.

Cam Ward NFL Draft Outlook
With the NFL draft right around the corner, it's becoming more evident that Ward will likely be the first overall pick. He is the most talented quarterback in this class and has the tools to be a top signal-caller in the league one day. That potential was surely on display in his final college season at Miami (FL).
Ward threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 2024. Those strong numbers helped Miami (FL) finish with a 10-3 record and the best offense in the country. The Hurricanes averaged 43.9 points per game and a whopping 537.2 yards per game, thanks in large part to the quarterbacks' strong play on the field.
It's hard not to love Ward entering the draft. He has a strong arm, can hit his throws to all portions of the field, and is so composed in the pocket. All three of those traits certainly make the Miami product an exciting prospect in the 2025 class. As a result, he should hear his name called very early in the NFL Draft, especially since the Titans own the top pick.

Tennessee is in desperate need of a franchise quarterback after Will Levis struggled in his second NFL season. Levis threw for just 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions across 12 appearances, and the Titans went 2-10 in his starts last year. Therefore, this is a fantastic fit for Ward in the 2025 NFL Draft.
He would immediately be the team's starter on Day 1 and has a chance to succeed in this Tennessee offense. Ward would be surrounded by some talented playmakers, including Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard, and Chig Okonkwo. That makes this landing spot a nice one for the talented quarterback. The 22-year-old will almost certainly be the top pick by the Titans in the upcoming draft.
Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft Outlook
Although Ward has emerged as the QB1 in this year's draft, Sanders is right behind as the QB2 of this class. He showed his potential in each of the past two seasons at Colorado and has the makings of a franchise quarterback. The 23-year-old completed 74 percent of his passes last year while throwing for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Sanders' accuracy is one of his biggest traits as a prospect, which could help him early in his NFL career. His 74 percent completion percentage in 2024 ranked first in FBS, and his 71.8 percent career completion percentage at Colorado ranked first all-time for a quarterback with at least 875 attempts. He passed Colt Brennan's previous record when the Hawaii quarterback had a 70.4 percent completion percentage from 2005 to 2007.

After a strong college season for Sanders, he will almost certainly be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Although the chances of him getting selected first overall by the Titans are slim, there's a strong possibility he will come off the board right after Ward. As a result, the Giants are one of the best fits for the Colorado product in this year's draft.
With signs pointing to the Browns taking wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter with the second overall pick, New York is in a prime spot to find its franchise quarterback in the draft. Even though the Giants just recently signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency, it wouldn't be a shock to see them take Sanders this early in the draft.
Neither Wilson nor Winston is a long-term answer for this team, and this situation could help Sanders' development. He could sit for a year before eventually taking over as the Giants' starting quarterback in 2026. When he finally does start for New York, having an elite wideout like Malik Nabers would help him out tremendously.
Outside of the Giants, the New Orleans Saints (No. 9 overall) could be another great fit for Sanders. Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that could jeopardize his 2025-2026 season, and the Colorado product could start immediately in Year 1. With a solid receiving group in Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, this is a better landing spot for him than people might think.
Jaxson Dart NFL Draft Outlook
Dart is one of the more interesting quarterback prospects in this class. Just a few months ago, the Ole Miss product was not deemed a first-round talent. However, after a strong showing at the NFL Combine, the 21-year-old's stock has risen over the past few weeks. That has definitely pushed him into the back end of the first round in the 2025 NFL Draft.
There's no doubt Dart has the potential to be a solid quarterback in the NFL. He has a solid arm and can take off with his legs when needed. The Utah native threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions with the Rebels last season while also running for 495 yards and three touchdowns.
Even though this is considered a weak quarterback class, it's tough to envision Dart not going in the first round. He turns just 22 years old in May, and there are plenty of teams still in the market for a young quarterback. Therefore, teams like the Saints (No. 9), Steelers (No. 21), and Rams (No. 26) are all great fits for the Ole Miss quarterback.

While going that early to the Saints would be a bit of a surprise, we shouldn't completely rule it out. Carr is entering his age-34 season, and Spencer Rattler didn't show much across his six starts in his rookie season.
The veteran is also dealing with a shoulder injury that could cause him to miss the 2025-2026 campaign, making this position a more significant need entering the draft. So, this is a strong landing spot for Dart.
The two likeliest landing spots for him are the Steelers and the Rams. Both franchises could use a younger quarterback on their rosters, and Dart would be a perfect fit for both.
Even if the Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers in free agency in the coming weeks, that shouldn't affect Pittsburgh's potential desire to select Dart at 21st overall. Rodgers would likely only sign a one-year deal, paving the way for the 21-year-old to possibly take over as the team's starting quarterback for the 2026 season.
The Rams are in a similar spot as the Steelers entering the 2025 campaign. Los Angeles will roll with a veteran quarterback (Matthew Stafford), but the team doesn't really have a long-term answer at the quarterback position. Stafford is 37 years old, Jimmy Garoppolo is 33 years old, and Stetson Bennett might not be ready for the big moment.
So, Dart could sit for a few years and learn from one of the best quarterbacks in the NFC.
