Ivan Barbashev Scores Goal No. 21
6 hours agoVegas Golden Knights left wing Ivan Barbashev found the back of the net during their 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday evening. Barbashev scored his 21st goal of the campaign in the opening frame on a backhand. This is only the second time in his career that he scored more than 20 goals in a campaign. He is just three away from matching his career-best (24). This goal also snapped Barbashev's scoring skid. Entering Sunday, the 29-year-old has only tallied four points (all helpers) over his last eight games. Before this skid, Barbashev was quite productive, scoring five goals and adding five assists over his previous 13 games. Fantasy managers in deeper formats should continue to start Barbashev as he is deployed on the top forward unit alongside Jack Eichel and Mark Stone. He will look to stay hot on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche.
