Ilya Mikheyev Strikes Twice In Victory
6 hours agoChicago Blackhawks right wing Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals during their 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday evening. Mikheyev did all of his offensive work in the final frame. He first scored during 5-on-5 play to extend their lead to two goals, which eventually served as the game-winner. Mikheyev would then score the empty-netter to seal the victory. Mikheyev has enjoyed a recent surge in offensive production, tallying eight points (five goals) over his last eight contests. This was a strong improvement compared to the three points (all goals) he scored over his previous eight games. Through 75 games this season, Mikheyev has found the back of the net 20 times and added 14 helpers. He remains a solid streaming option given his recent production and playing on the top offensive line with Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato.
