Chuckie Robinson Sent To Triple-A Salt Lake
6 days agoThe Los Angeles Angels have assigned catcher Chuckie Robinson to Triple-A Salt Lake. Robinson was competing for a depth role on the MLB roster but fell short during camp. In spring training, Robinson posted a .160/.382/.200 slash line with a 7:5 BB:K. The 30-year-old appeared in just 26 MLB contests last season with the White Sox and held a .129/.197/.129 slash line with no extra-base hits. He has spent the better part of the last three seasons playing at the Triple-A level. Last season, Robinson posted a .246/.292/.382 slash line at Triple-A, which was well below his career .272/.330/.423 line. With Robinson opening the campaign at the top level of the minor leagues, fantasy managers should expect Logan O'Hoppe and Travis d'Arnaud to see all of the work behind the dish.

Angels Acquire Chuckie Robinson From White Sox
3 months agoThe Los Angeles Angels acquired catcher Chuckie Robinson from the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations. In a corresponding move, right-hander Davis Daniel was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster. In Anaheim, Robinson will serve as catching depth behind Logan O'Hoppe and Travis d'Arnaud heading into the 2025 season. The White Sox had no more room for him after acquiring prospect Kyle Teel and Matt Thaiss this offseason. The 30-year-old backstop is off the fantasy radar in all formats and will likely open next season at Triple-A Salt Lake. Robinson played in 26 games for the White Sox in 2024 in his second big-league season and hit a weak .129 (9-for-70) with no homers, no RBI, two runs scored, five walks and 20 strikeouts.
