Richie Palacios Placed On 10-Day Injured List
5 days agoTampa Bay Rays infielder/outfielder Richie Palacios (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list. Earlier in camp, Palacios was diagnosed with a small fracture in his right ring finger. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as Palacios was likely going to have a utility role in the starting lineup. Last season, the 27-year-old posted a .223/.346/.318 slash line with five home runs and 19 stolen bases across 92 contests. He generated a modest .325 xwOBA with a .249 xBA. Palacios also drew walks at an elite 14.2 percent walk rate. Last summer, Palacios only entered the starting lineup against right-handed pitching and logged 37 starts at the keystone, two at the hot corner, one at shortstop, and 51 in the outfield. While he is sidelined, Jose Caballero and Taylor Walls will have an increased role in the infield, and Kameron Misner could have a larger role in the outfield.
