Alex Pietrangelo May Not Play During Road Trip
5 days agoVegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo (lower body) may not suit up for the remainder of their road trip. Pietrangelo's injury is not expected to be long-term, but the team may opt to lean on the side of caution to ensure he is healthy for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Pietrangelo was unable to play in their previous game and could sit out on Friday when they travel to Chicago and Saturday when they travel to Nashville. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to their next home contest next Tuesday against the Edmonton Oilers. Before his injury, Pietrangelo tallied six points (one goal) over his last six contests. During this stretch, the 35-year-old logged four hits and nine blocked shots. While he is sidelined, Kaedan Korczak will remain in the starting lineup.

Alex Pietrangelo Returns To Golden Knights Lineup
4 months agoVegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo (upper body) will return from a three-game absence on Wednesday against Colorado. He will take Robert Hagg's position in the lineup and should join his regular partner, Noah Hanifin, in a first defensive pairing role. Pietrangelo has had a productive campaign with 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) in 19 outings. All but one of Pietrangelo's points have come in even-strength situations. He's also registered 39 shots and 34 hits. Pietrangelo has offered good two-way value for fantasy managers and should continue to play a big role for Vegas.

Alex Pietrangelo Extends Season-Opening Point Streak
6 months agoVegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo extended his season-opening point streak to three games in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Anaheim. He has become the first blue-liner in franchise history to start a season with a three-game scoring streak, notching all of the points with even-strength assists. Pietrangelo's productivity nosedived last season as he battled health issues, but it looks like he still has some juice left. The 34-year-old sees big minutes as part of the top defensive pairing and the second power-play unit. He will attempt to take his streak to four games in Vegas' first road game of the season at Washington on Tuesday night.
