Dodgers Option Justin Wrobleski To Triple-A
24 seconds agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski to Triple-A. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers selected Matt Sauer's contract. Wrobleski enjoyed an impressive spring training as he posted a 1.93 ERA with a stellar 0.75 WHIP across nine 1/3 innings of work. He tallied nine punchouts while serving up just one free pass. The Oklahoma State product made his MLB debut last season and held a 5.70 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP across his first 36 1/3 MLB frames. Fantasy managers should expect Wrobleski to be in the mix to return to the major leagues later in the summer. At Triple-A, the southpaw has held a 5.46 ERA with a 1.86 WHIP across 28 innings. At Double-A, he held a solid 3.06 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP. Fantasy managers in deeper formats should monitor his development, as he will likely be promoted as a starting pitcher when he returns to Los Angeles.
