Paul George Shut Down For Rest Of Season
37 seconds agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard/forward Paul George (groin, knee) will not return to the court during the 2024-25 season. Sources have told ESPN's Shams Charania that George has been ruled out for the rest of the season after receiving injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee on Monday. This means that George finishes his debut campaign in Philadelphia with only 41 appearances. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals in 32.5 minutes. George, who will turn 35 on May 2, signed a four-year max contract worth $212 million with the 76ers last summer. This has proven to be a terrible deal for the 76ers, who are on track to finish a season with fewer than 30 wins for the first time since 2016-17.
