We haven't had many crazy conference tournament games like last year, but we've still had some very entertaining ones. The conference tournaments are winding down. Some NCAA Tournament bids were secured, but a couple of teams are still trying to steal bids. We've got another couple of fun days ahead of us!
We have some smaller teams that are on the DFS slate for the first time since November. Don't be afraid to follow the trends of these mid-major teams, especially on the early slate. Some of these mid-priced players from smaller schools will be the key to winning a slate today. I will cover a few such players but don't limit your exposure to just the ones I mention.
Here are my picks across all CBB DFS slates on Saturday, March 15, with the main slate starting at 1 p.m. EDT on DraftKings. The late slate starts at 6 p.m. EDT. NOTE: Due to the quick turnaround of tournament play, DraftKings doesn't have the pricing for the late or night slates at the time of publishing. Those picks will be added by early afternoon today.

Today's Main Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Best Matchups:
Tulane frontcourt vs. Memphis
North Texas frontcourt vs. UAB
Florida vs. Alabama
Core Pieces:
Johni Broome, Auburn ($10.6K)

— Auburn Basketball (@AuburnMBB) March 12, 2025
Broome always has slate-breaking potential, doesn't he? It feels like it. He rebounded from bad games against Kentucky and A&M to nuke Bama for 65 DraftKings points in the regular season finale. He put up 45.25 DK points yesterday in a game in which Auburn only scored 62 points. It should be a higher-scoring and more lucrative DFS affair against Florida today.
Walter Clayton Jr., Florida ($9.3K)
This promises to be another high-scoring affair, as the first game was 10 days ago. Clayton and Florida saddled the Tide with a loss despite Alabama scoring 94 points. Clayton put up 42.75 DraftKings points in that one. His ceiling isn't as high as Broome's, but Clayton's floor is much safer.
Jase Richardson, Michigan State ($7.5K)
The freshman has at least 25 DraftKings points in six straight games and has only been under 20 once since a February 4 loss to UCLA. One of those games was a 29.25 DK point effort against Wisconsin. Don't expect the world, but Richardson should be around 30 DK points again.
Jack Clark, Virginia Commonwealth ($6.5K)
Clark has at least 25 DraftKings points in every game for the last month. He doesn't have much of a ceiling, but a floor of 25 DK Points at this price is very nice. He put up 33.75 in the first meeting against the Ramblers, so I'm expecting more than just a floor game.
Value Pieces:
Kymany Houinsou, Loyola-Chicago ($5.1K)
It's not often that you see a guy go from Washington State to Loyola, but that's the case with Houinsou. He's much the same player that he was for the Cougars last year.
He's not much of a scorer, but Houinsou has double-digit rebounds in each of the last two games and had double-digit assists against UMass in the regular season finale. If Houinsou starts getting a little more assertive on offense, he could put up some big DFS numbers.
Jared Billups, George Mason ($4.8K)
Billups scored a season-high 18 points (39.25 DraftKings points) in the win over George Washington yesterday. The Patriots might need to win the A-10 Automatic bid to get in. They might do it if Billups can score with some consistency. He does everything else well.
Jahmai Mashack, Tennessee ($4.5K)
Tennessee's veteran guards are pushing this team to new heights. Mashack is an excellent defender and strong all over the court, but he has added some scoring of late. He only averaged 6.2 points per game this season. Mashack has topped that mark in four of the last five games.
Anthony Finkley, St. Josephs ($3.7K)
Finkley has at least 17 DraftKings points in 11 consecutive games. There is no reason whatsoever for him to be this cheap, but I'm going to take advantage of it!
Slate-Breaking Potential:
PJ Haggerty, Memphis ($9.6K)
Coach Hardaway Tigers 26-5 (16-2 AAC) is the #1 seed
Tulsa transfer and last year Freshman of the Year PJ Haggerty is the player of the year.. pic.twitter.com/3oQoeGY3x6— CoachHawk / CarHawk (@Hawkmathis55) March 13, 2025
Haggerty refused to let Memphis lose against Wichita State. He scored a career-high 42 points in the win, racking up 64.75 DraftKings points in the process. He has been more consistent than Broome, but Tulane held Haggerty to just 21 DK points in the first meeting in 38 minutes. There is risk here, but the reward is massive.
Mark Sears, Alabama ($9.2K)
Sears racked up 46 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Florida. He has 45.75 DraftKings points combined in the two games since. The ceiling is high, but that floor is terrifying.
Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($9.1K)
UAB needs another run through the conference tourney to make the NCAA Tournament again. If they do, Lendeborg will be the reason why. He racked up a staggering 87 DraftKings points on East Carolina yesterday. That's not a typo. 87 DraftKings points! That's the best mark of the season for any player!
Jaxon Kohler, Michigan State ($6.8K)
Kohler was ineffective against Oregon yesterday, but he put up 35.5 DraftKings points against Wisconsin in the first meeting. That was good for his third-highest total of the season. A ceiling game is possible today.

Today's Late Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Best Matchups:
St. John's guard vs. Creighton
Houston forwards vs. Arizona
Duke wings vs. Louisville
Core Pieces:
Nique Clifford, Colorado State ($10.4K)
Nique Clifford transferred to a mid major and became a first round pick pic.twitter.com/Q3rX0g9bn4
— Bryn (@brynuyari) March 15, 2025
Clifford may be the best player that you've never heard of. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in four of the last five games as the Rams try to play their way into the NCAA Tournament. I'm not going to be the one to say they won't. Not with Clifford on their team. He's in for another monster today. Clifford averaged 47.8 DK points per game against Boise this year.
Alvaro Cardenas, Boise State ($8.4K)
Cardenas is sometimes a world-class bricklayer, but he is also a world-class distributor. He's inefficient and sometimes aggravating, but he's the guy you want on your team. What he sometimes lacks in talent, he makes up for in effort. This guy plays as hard as anyone. Cardenas had 76.75 DraftKings points in the two games against Colorado State this year.
Khaman Maluach, Duke ($6.2K)
It's time for the other Duke freshmen to shine with Cooper Flagg out. Kon Knueppel was shut down by Louisville in the first meeting and had a pedestrian stat line against Carolina last night. I'll go with Maluach here as he is less of a risk at the price, and the way to attack Louisville is on the inside.
Value Pieces:
Kyan Evans, Colorado State ($4.9K)
Evans has had 13 consecutive games with at least 19 DraftKings points. That's a great return in this price range. Evans is by far the safest value play on the slate. He also has solid upside. It's a win-win.
Jaylen Crocker-Johnson, Colorado State ($4.5K)
Crocker-Johnson has at least a dozen DraftKings points in every game since a total disaster against UNLV on January 11. He's warming up with the weather and has been a solid play since.
Jasen Green, Creighton ($4.3K)
The Jays have been searching for a third option since Pop Isaacs went down. They may finally have it. Green put up 19 points (31 DK points) in the win over UConn, hitting eight of his 10 shots. Green is a major risk, but the reward is better than anyone else in this price range.
Slate-Breaking Potential:
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($10K)
Kalkbrenner is easily the best all around player in the Big East. If this was an MVP award I can see this being a tight race between 3 guys. But it’s not an MVP award it’s the POY and that player is Ryan Kalkbrenner!
— Michael Watson (@MichaelSDNE) March 11, 2025
Kalkbrenner was mostly a cheerleader from a stat sheet perspective against UConn, but we're going to see something different tonight. He feels the Big East Player of the Year snub and he's playing against the guy that won it. St. John's better wear helmets.
Steven Ashworth, Creighton ($8.6K)
Ashworth has been mortal everywhere but the foul line of late. It is worth noting that Ashworth firebombed St. John's this year. He put up 81.25 DraftKings points in two games against them this year. If he gets to that level of production again, he's a major bargain tonight.
KJ Lewis, Arizona ($6.8K)
Lewis is cooking in the Big 12 (16) Tournament. After a horrible game to close the regular season against Kansas, Lewis opened the week in Kansas City with 37.75 DraftKings points against the same Kansas team. He followed it up with 42 DK points against Texas Tech. He's an absolute bargain with this upside.
