Jacob Bridgeman missed his fourth cut of 2025 last week at the Texas Children's Houston Open. The American golfer has made six cuts and finished in the Top 25 four times. That includes a Top 10 and a third which was outright. Bridgeman fell behind early last week with an opening round 72. Overall, he ranks 7th in strokes gained to putting at 0.729. This is through 29 measured rounds. Considering the volume of play, that is not a small sample size. Anyway, Bridgeman scrambles well but greens in regulation still ranks 150th on tour at 63.72%. With four mammoth Par 5's (550+ yards), Bridgeman must strike the ball far more accurately this week to be near contention.

While Jacob Bridgeman had an outstanding performance at the Cognizant Classic this past week, the Arnold Palmer presents an entirely different test. With a 7,460-yard layout at Bay Hill, players will be tested on keeping the ball in the fairway and playing long irons. Bridgeman has struggled driving the ball this year, ranking 148th on tour. However, he makes up for this with his approach, putting, and scrambling abilities, where he ranks 70th, 15th, and 14th. He has also faired well at Par 5s, ranking 44th in Par 5 scoring average. With four of those at Bay Hill, it's not farfetched to assume he can post good scores on those holes. He's not a surefire start, but he's an interesting player in DFS formats this week.

Jacob Bridgeman has been playing well for the most part lately. The American golfer can toss the second round 79 out at the Procore Championship in September. Those things happen. Anyway, Bridgeman has five Top 30 results in his past seven events. That includes several three near misses when it comes to a first career Top 10. 2024 has been very interesting for the 24-year-old. Bridgeman putts very well and ranks sixth overall on tour in strokes gained to putting (0.587). He ranks inside the Top 40 in putts per round in every round except the dreaded final round (134th). The key for Bridgeman will be keeping balls on the course. If he does that, Bridgeman makes for a reasonable DFS option in Bermuda.

Jacob Bridgeman will make his first appearance at the Sony Open this week. He closed out the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour season with four straight top-20 finishes including one top-five finish. Bridgeman finished strong at the end of last season and will look to continue building on that strong finish and get his 2024 PGA Tour season started on the right foot. Bridgeman comes with considerable risk for DFS lineups.
