Patrick Cantlay Looking To Turn The Tides At TPC Sawgrass
18 seconds agoFor someone as deadly with his ball striking and, at times, the clutchest putter on the PGA Tour, Patrick Cantlay has struggled to find much to be happy about at TPC Sawgrass. His best finish is a T19 in 2023 by gaining over nine strokes ball striking, and is similar form with the irons heading into this week. Over his last three starts, Cantlay is averaging +1.23 strokes gained on approach. The performance off the tee hasn't been as hot, but then again, his last few outings have been much more driver-dependent than perhaps TPC Sawgrass is. There is certainly room to be skeptical of the 32-year-old this week, but it feels like the Stadium Course is a venue where he will scare a win or even get one eventually.
