Broncos Agree To Three-Year Contract With Talanoa Hufanga
3 mins agoThe Denver Broncos and free-agent safety Talanoa Hufanga agreed to a three-year contract on Monday worth up to $45 million, including $20 million guaranteed at signing, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hufanga was a first-time Pro Bowler in 2022 with the San Francisco 49ers and was trending toward being a starting defensive back in IDP fantasy formats until injuries struck. The 25-year-old played in only 10 games in 2023 and a career-low seven games in 2024. He suffered a concussion in the regular-season finale last year but should be fully recovered in time for the start of the 2025 campaign in his first year with Denver. If Hufanga can return to the ball-hawking form he displayed prior to 2023, the Broncos defense could have a steal on their hands. Barring injuries, Hufanga figures to start at safety alongside Brandon Jones in a talented Denver defense.
