Commanders Acquire Laremy Tunsil From Texans
2 mins agoThe Washington Commanders acquired five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil and a fourth-round draft pick from the Houston Texans on Monday in exchange for future second- and fourth-rounders and a third-round pick this year, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's a blockbuster trade that will only help in the development of second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels, who looked excellent in his rookie season in 2024 and led the Commanders to an appearances in the NFC Championship. The 30-year-old Tunsil has been one of the most reliable left tackles in the league and will provide stability on Daniels' blind side heading into the 2025 campaign. Tunsil was the 13th overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2016 out of Mississippi. All five of his Pro Bowl seasons have come in the last six years while in Houston.
