Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Free-Agent Preview: Top 10 Power Rankings For 2025

Stefon Diggs - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

The 2025 NFL offseason kicks off in a few days with the start of free agency. Several big-name wide receivers are on the trade block, including DK Metcalf and Cooper Kupp.

Meanwhile, Deebo Samuel Sr. already was traded from the San Francisco 49ers to the Washington Commanders. However, don’t discredit the free-agent wide receiver class. While the Cincinnati Bengals placed the franchise tag on Tee Higgins, teams can find several solid options on the open market this year.

Let’s look at the top 10 wide receivers in this year’s free agency class.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

10) Darius Slayton

Slayton has been one of the more underrated wide receivers in the NFL. He has spent his entire six-year career with the New York Giants. Despite spending most of his career with awful quarterback production, the veteran has been a solid contributor.

Last year, Slayton had 39 receptions on 71 targets for 573 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 16 games. Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson kept the veteran wide receiver from seeing more targets last season. Don’t be surprised if he signs a significant deal in free agency this offseason with another team and has a career year in 2025.

9) Brandin Cooks

While his days as a No. 1 wide receiver are over, Cooks is still a solid role player, especially for a team with a young quarterback. The veteran wide receiver missed seven games last season because of an injury. Furthermore, he struggled with the Dallas Cowboys starting three quarterbacks last year.

Yet, Cooks had some solid moments. The former first-round draft pick totaled 26 receptions on 54 targets for 259 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The Cowboys could re-sign the veteran wide receiver this offseason. However, he is more likely to move on in free agency.

8) Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

Many had never heard of Westbrook-Ikhine until last season. The former Indiana star had little impact earlier in his career, totaling three receptions on eight targets for 33 receiving yards as a rookie. However, he has slowly become a meaningful part of the Tennessee Titans’ passing attack.

The veteran is coming off the best season of his career. Westbrook-Ikhine had 32 receptions on 60 targets for 497 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He ranked among the league leaders in receiving touchdowns last year. Don’t be surprised if Westbrook-Ikhine signs a significant multi-year contract next week.

7) DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins is a former superstar wide receiver and a future Hall of Famer. However, his production slipped over the past few years. Last season, the veteran wide receiver struggled with the Tennessee Titans, totaling 15 receptions on 21 targets for 173 receiving yards and a touchdown in six contests.

Thankfully, Hopkins played better once traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. He had 41 receptions on 59 targets for 437 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. However, the Chiefs are unlikely to re-sign the veteran after bringing back Marquise Brown on a one-year deal. Hopkins could return to where it all started and sign with the Houston Texans.

6) Tyler Lockett

The Seattle Seahawks released Lockett earlier this offseason. The veteran wide receiver spent his entire 10-year career with the Seahawks, totaling over 8,500 receiving yards and 61 touchdowns. However, he has shown signs of slowing down over the past few seasons, leading to his release.

Unfortunately, Lockett is coming off arguably the worst year of his career. The veteran had 49 receptions on 74 targets for 600 receiving yards and two touchdowns last season. Lockett could land in Las Vegas with his former quarterback, Geno Smith, and head coach, Pete Carroll.

5) Amari Cooper

While Cooper had some positive moments last season, the veteran wide receiver had a down year. He split time between the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills. The former Alabama star had 24 receptions on 53 targets for 250 receiving yards and two touchdowns in six games with the Browns. Unfortunately, he wasn’t much better after getting traded.

Despite getting a massive upgrade at quarterback, Cooper struggled in Buffalo. The veteran wide receiver had 20 receptions on 32 targets for 297 receiving yards and two touchdowns in eight games with the Bills. While he is coming off a poor season, Cooper is only one year removed from having 1,250 receiving yards. He should bounce back in 2025.

4) Keenan Allen

Allen spent the first 11 years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite being among the highest-targeted wide receivers throughout his career, the veteran had only two seasons with more than seven receiving touchdowns. Last year, he got traded to the Chicago Bears, joining a crowded wide receiver unit with DJ Moore and Rome Odunze.

Yet, Allen had a productive season. He finished with 70 receptions on 121 targets for 744 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. The veteran wide receiver led the team in receiving scores despite playing for three different offensive coordinators. Allen has plenty of gas left in the tank and should receive a solid offer in free agency.

3) Stefon Diggs

Many doubted Diggs heading into last season. While he didn’t replace Nico Collins as the No. 1 wide receiver, the veteran was the clear-cut second option ahead of Tank Dell. Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver suffered a torn ACL in Week 8, ending his season.

Last year, Diggs finished with 47 receptions on 64 targets for 496 receiving yards and three touchdowns in eight contests. While he is coming off the torn ACL, the veteran wide receiver should have an aggressive market in free agency. However, Diggs likely won’t return to the Houston Texans after they traded for Christian Kirk last week.

2) Chris Godwin

Unfortunately, Godwin suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle late in the Week 7 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Yet, the veteran wide receiver was having a career year before getting hurt. He had 50 receptions on 62 targets for 576 receiving yards and five touchdowns in five games.

The former Penn State star will be a popular target in free agency this offseason. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would like him back. However, the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars could make massive offers to Godwin despite his coming off the dislocated ankle.

1) Davante Adams

Update: Adams signed with the Los Angeles Rams

While Adams is the best wide receiver on the open market this year, the future Hall of Famer will take his time finding a new home. Adams isn’t the superstar he once was earlier in his career. Yet, the veteran had a productive 2025 season, totaling 85 receptions on 141 targets for 1,063 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

Adams has three potential landing spots this offseason. He can follow Aaron Rodgers to whichever team the veteran quarterback joins, likely the New York Giants. The star wide receiver could return to the Green Bay Packers. However, don’t be surprised if Adams lands in Los Angeles, playing for either the Chargers or Rams in 2025.
