Cam Collier Dealing With Thumb Injury
1 month agoCincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier (thumb) is dealing with a thumb injury and could miss some time. Collier was reassigned to minor-league camp earlier this week. The infielder suffered this injury on a tag play during spring training. Collier is considered one of the top prospects in the Cincinnati system. The Reds drafted the 20-year-old with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. Last season, Collier made his High-A debut and posted a .248/.355/.443 slash line with 21 doubles and 20 home runs. He swiped two bags and held a 66:127 BB:K ratio. The previous season, Collier logged 111 games at Single-A and posted a .246/.349/.356 line. When healthy, fantasy managers should expect Collier to push for an early-season Double-A debut.
