Kendall Graveman Dealing With Back Tightness
20 seconds agoArizona Diamondbacks right-handed reliever Kendall Graveman (back) is undergoing imaging after complaining of tightness in his back while throwing a bullpen session over the weekend. The results of Graveman's MRI exam will determine how much time he'll need to miss, and the 34-year-old veteran could certainly be in danger of missing Opening Day at the end of March. However, manager Torey Lovullo said the injury wasn't anything "too alarming." Still, Graveman didn't sign with Arizona until after the start of spring training and has yet to pitch in a Cactus League game. On top of that, he had surgery last January to fix a torn labrum and missed the entire 2024 campaign. If healthy in 2025, he could be in the mix for some high-leverage bullpen work for the Snakes, but it might be a stretch to expect him to return to his pre-injury form.
