Justin Wrobleski Sharp In Sunday's Start
7 hours agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitching prospect Justin Wrobleski tossed three shutout frames on Sunday afternoon against the Athletics. Wrobleski tallied three punchouts and did not allow a baserunner. This was a strong outing for Wrobleski as he is competing for a role on the major league roster. Last season, the 24-year-old made his MLB debut and posted a 5.70 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP across 36 1/3 innings of work. He appeared in eight games and started six of them. In the minor leagues, he spent time at both Double and Triple-A last summer. Across 67 2/3 innings at Double-A, Wrobleski held a strong 3.06 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP. However, when he moved up to Triple-A, he struggled as he posted a higher 5.46 ERA with a 1.86 WHIP. If he continues this strong performance in spring, he could earn a long relief role in the majors.
