According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee) will undergo surgery. It was already announced he would be sidelined indefinitely. However, now that it's known Suggs will have surgery to remove a cartilage fragment from his left knee, it's tough to say if he'll return to the floor this season. The 23-year-old has averaged a career-high 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 2024-25. But while he is on the shelf, Cole Anthony, averaging 13.6 points, 1.1 steals, and 38.9% shooting from deep in 18 starts this season, should remain with the first five.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel, after undergoing further evaluation, including an MRI, Orlando guard Jalen Suggs (knee, quadriceps) has been diagnosed with a trochlea injury in his left knee and will be out indefinitely. Suggs had already been on the shelf for 14 consecutive games due to what was described as a quadriceps contusion. The 23-year-old has only been able to suit up for three games since the start of the new year. With Suggs out for the foreseeable future, Cole AnthonyGary Harris and Anthony Black will all continue an uptick in minutes and scoring opportunities.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) will remain sidelined for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors, marking his 14th consecutive absence. Suggs is not participating in contact drills during practices, suggesting he is still some way from being game-ready. However, while speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley stated that Suggs has not been ruled out for the season. Following Thursday's action, Orlando has 21 more contests left. With Suggs unavailable, Cole Anthony (knee) and Anthony Black have been sharing point guard duties. Anthony may also be out on Thursday, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) will not rejoin the lineup on Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has been ruled out for a 13th consecutive game. Suggs had an impressive start to the season, but health issues have significantly impacted his year. He has played just once since Jan. 3. Cole Anthony and Anthony Black have received more work during Suggs' absence. Anthony has enjoyed an eight-game spell as a starter but produced a five-point dud in Sunday's win over the Washington Wizards. On Sunday, Black was tied for the most points on the team with 23. However, he had finished the previous contest with zero points, showing that inconsistency continues to be an issue for the second-year player.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) won't play on Sunday against Washington. The 23-year-old missed 10 games because of a back injury before suiting up versus the Pistons on January 25. Yet, he sustained a quad contusion in that one and has been unavailable for Orlando's last 11 games. Suggs has averaged career-highs in points (16.2), rebounds (4.0), and steals (1.5), so fantasy managers need him back on the floor as soon as possible. Until that time comes, Cole Anthony, averaging 14.8 points, 4.4 boards, and 1.3 steals in 15 starts during the 2024-25 campaign, should remain in the starting lineup.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
