Donte DiVincenzo Upgraded To Available
Donte DiVincenzo (toe) will be active on Friday against the Utah Jazz. He returned from a 19-game absence on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers, posting nine points, five rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 23 minutes. Minnesota initially had DiVincenzo listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. DiVincenzo took only six shots -- all from downtown -- in Thursday's game, making half of them, but he should have a bigger say in the offense on Friday night, as Anthony Edwards (suspension) will not be in the lineup.

Donte DiVincenzo Considered Questionable Against Jazz
Donte DiVincenzo (toe) has drawn a questionable tag for Friday's game against the Utah Jazz due to the toe injury that kept him out for over a month. Thursday was his first game back since January 15, so it wouldn't come as a big surprise if the Timberwolves decide to ease him back and let him sit the back part of a back-to-back. If he doesn't suit up, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Terrence Shannon Jr. should see plenty of minutes since Anthony Edwards (suspension) is also out. They both are likely available in a wide range of fantasy leagues, but Shannon has shown a lot of promise, especially after 25 points, five rebounds, and two assists on Thursday.

Donte DiVincenzo May Return To Timberwolves Lineup Thursday
Donte DiVincenzo (toe) has picked up a questionable tag ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He seems to be nearing his return to the lineup after practicing on Wednesday. DiVincenzo has been sidelined for 19 games due to a toe sprain. Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker have taken on expanded roles with DiVincenzo out and will lose fantasy value when he returns. DiVincenzo replaced Conley in the starting lineup in early January, averaging an impressive 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.5 steals.

Timberwolves Optimistic That Donte DiVincenzo Will Return During Road Trip
Donte DiVincenzo (toe) hasn't played since January 15 due to a toe injury that he suffered against the Golden State Warriors. At the time, reports stated that he would avoid surgery and was set to be out for at least three weeks. Now, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, the team is optimistic about getting him back on the court during their four-game road trip that spans from Monday to Sunday. Across 40 games, DiVincenzo has averaged 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.6 threes per game this season.

Donte DiVincenzo Avoids Surgery, Will Miss At Least Three Weeks
Donte DiVincenzo (toe) luckily avoided surgery on his toe and will miss at least three weeks. According to ESPN's Tim Bontemps, the Villanova product will not need surgery and the medical staff will re-evaluate him in that three-week timeline. Unfortunately, DiVincenzo was hitting the best stride of his season right before getting hurt, and the timetable brings him to right around All-Star Weekend. In the meantime, Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will split the available minutes. Conley would be the more consistent streaming option despite some lower averages with 8.1 points, 4.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
