JT Brubaker Suffers Three Broken Ribs
34 seconds agoNew York Yankees right-handed pitcher JT Brubaker (ribs) suffered three broken ribs when he attempted to avoid a comebacker during a spring training contest last weekend. Yankee manager Aaron Boone said that he is "OK" but this injury will "cost him some time." Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout camp. Brubaker spent all of the 2024 campaign in the minor leagues. Across 16 2/3 innings, and held a 2.70 ERA and strong 0.96 WHIP. During the 2022 season, Brubaker logged 144 innings with the Pittsburgh Pirates and held a 469 ERA with a 1.47 WHIP. He tallied 147 punchouts and served up 54 free passes. When healthy, the 31-year-old will likely compete for a long relief role in the majors and could occasionally earn a spot start in the rotation.
