Roki Sasaki Making Spring Debut On Tuesday
16 seconds agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Roki Sasaki is set to make his spring debut on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Sasaki will enter the game after starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto starts the game. Sasaki was able to throw three innings in a simulated game earlier in the week and will now make his professional debut. Earlier in the offseason, the Dodgers signed Sasaki earlier in the offseason. The overseas star is set to make his regular season debut in the Tokyo series against the Chicago Cubs. In the 2024 season, the hard-throwing right-hander struck out 129 batters across 111 innings of work in the NPB. He posted a strong 2.35 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. Sasaki will join a Dodger rotation that also welcomed former two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell. Fantasy managers should expect Sasaki to open the season in the rotation and carry high strikeout upside in his debut campaign.
