Joey Loperfido Could Return On Friday
26 seconds agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Joey Loperfido (neck/back) is expected to go through a full workout on Thursday and could return to the starting lineup on Friday. Loperfido avoided a serious injury on Tuesday when he collided into the center field wall. Loperfido did not have any concussion symptoms and is not expected to miss any significant period of time. If the 25-year-old progresses well during Thursday's workouts, he could be cleared to return to game action. Last season, Loperfido made his MLB debut and held a .214/.264/.350 line with four home runs and four stolen bases. However, at the Triple-A level, the Duke product flashed high power upside as he launched 13 home runs with a .568 SLG and a .933 OPS across 39 contests. Fantasy managers should expect Loperfido to open the season as Toronto's starting left fielder.
