New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson (lower body) will remain sidelined for Tuesday's clash against the New York Rangers. He has been out for 10 games with a lower-body injury. Last week, Dobson returned to practice in full capacity, but he will sit out at least one more contest. Dobson has taken a step back in 2024-25, posting 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 46 games. Alexander Romanov has carried a massive load during Dobson's absence, though the Islanders' backline recently received help with Ryan Pulock's return. Scott Mayfield has also come back from injury but is expected to be a healthy scratch on Tuesday.

New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson (lower body) has been placed on IR due to an injury suffered on Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Dobson will be sidelined week-to-week, but his injury will not require surgery. The Islanders already have trouble scoring goals, so missing their powerplay quarterback and top offensive defenseman will hurt them all the more. In his absence, Ryan Pulock took over powerplay duties, but recently signed Tony DeAngelo could supplant Pulock once he gets more familiar with the team.

New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson (lower body) is week-to-week. The team has announced that Dobson will not require surgery to fix a lower-body injury he sustained on Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, the squad will still need to spend a stretch without him. Dobson has tallied 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 46 games this season while averaging nearly two blocks per game. Scott Mayfield is set to replace Dobson as Alexander Romanov's partner in defense, with Dennis Cholowski grabbing his spot on the first power-play unit.

According to Andrew Gross of Newsday, New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson (undisclosed) exited early during Monday's victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Gross noted that head coach Patrick Roy did not provide an update on his status following the game. Dobson exited during the third period after sustaining a hit. Before exiting, the 25-year-old tallied a primary assist and logged two shots on goal and four hits. This point extended his scoring streak to three games. Over his previous nine contests, Dobson has tallied five points (one goal, four helpers) with 13 blocks, eight hits, and 3.4 shots per goal per game. If Dobson were to miss time, fantasy managers should expect Ryan Pulock to take his spot on the top power-play unit and for Dennis Cholowski to draw into the starting lineup.
