Jordan Spieth struggled at the Genesis Invitational, missing the cut after opening rounds of 76-74. Given his past struggles at Torrey Pines, we're willing to overlook this result. Before that, he finished T4 at the Phoenix Open and T69 at Pebble Beach. Spieth has been mostly average this year statistically, gaining just 0.071 total strokes per round. However, the area where he has not been himself is around the greens, where he has lost 0.525 strokes through his first three events. This will also be Spieth's first time playing in the Cognizant Classic, where accuracy off the tee and efficiency on approach will be key. He currently ranks just 148th in driving accuracy but sits in the 75th percentile in greens in regulation from 150-200 yards, a distance that accounts for 48.1% of all approach shots at PGA National. Without course history or any data suggesting his game is trending in the right direction for this event, including Spieth in a fantasy lineup feels like a bit of a gamble. However, at $8,600 on DraftKings, his upside is too good to ignore.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller
