Chris Kirk A Wild Card At PGA National
13 mins agoChris Kirk ended 2024 strong with three top-35 finishes in his last four events. However, he hasn't been able to carry that momentum into 2025, with just one top-35 finish in his first five events this year. He'll look to turn things around at the Cognizant Classic, an event he won in 2023 after gaining over 5.7 strokes putting. Almost impressively, Kirk has lost strokes in 21 of his last 24 starts on tour, accumulating a total of 13.876 strokes lost putting this year. Most of his success comes off the tee, which will be key this week, as PGA National ranks as the fifth-toughest off-the-tee course on tour. However, Kirk ranks in just the 28th percentile in greens in regulation from 150-200 yards, a range that makes up 48.1% of all approach shots at this course. On the plus side, he scrambles well, ranking 19th on tour while making par or better 66.67% of the time on missed greens in regulation. While his recent form raises some concerns, his strong course history and $7,300 price tag on DraftKings make Kirk an intriguing option for fantasy managers this week.
