David Festa 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Breakout Potential, But Fighting For Rotation Spot
12 hours agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher David Festa looked promising in his rookie season despite posting a less-than-ideal 4.90 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 64 1/3 innings pitched. He got hit hard at times but showed off his potential with a 27.8% strikeout rate that ranked in the 82nd percentile. His fastball sits at 94/95, and his changeup had an elite whiff rate of 39.4%. The 24-year-old's slider could use some work, but he also is adding a new sinker to his arsenal heading into the 2025 season. This pitch would pair very nicely with the rest of his repertoire and could catapult him into a breakout success. The righty will be one to watch in Spring Training, and his ADP could skyrocket if it looks like he's a lock to win a rotation spot. ATC is projecting him to pitch to a 3.97 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 114 strikeouts in 106 innings. He's worth a late-round dart throw with an ADP of 308.
