Jason Peters Hanging Up His Cleats
1 min agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Tuesday at the NFL Combine that long-time offensive tackle Jason Peters is retiring this offseason to serve as an assistant to vice president of player affairs Mo Kelly. Peters didn't play in a single game in Seattle in 2024 before finishing the year on Injured Reserve with an undisclosed injury in December. The 43-year-old was an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas but began his 19-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004. He ended up being named to nine Pro Bowls while also being named a first-team All-Pro twice. Peters spent the first five years of his career with the Bills before joining the Philadelphia Eagles for 11 years. He bounced around with the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Seahawks from 2021-23 and finishes what could end up being a Hall of Fame career with 248 games played (221 starts).
