Tyler Black Battling Back Stiffness
25 seconds agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Tyler Black (back) is dealing with back stiffness and has yet to make his Cactus League debut. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status but should be viewed as day-to-day for the time being. Last season, the 24-year-old made his MLB debut. Across 16 contests, Black held a .204/.316/.245 line with two doubles and three stolen bases. He showed a strong eye at the plate as he drew walks at an elite 12.3 percent rate but generated a low .191 xBA. However, across 102 contests at Triple-A Nashville, Black posted a strong .258/.374/.429 line with 14 doubles, 14 home runs, and 20 stolen bases. This was similar to the .273/.411/.513 line he held across 84 games at Double-A in 2023. When Black returns to action, he will likely compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster but is expected to open the season with Triple-A.
