Jordan Montgomery Set To Throw Bullpen On Tuesday
38 seconds agoArizona Diamondbacks left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery (finger) is set to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. Montgomery has yet to throw a bullpen during spring training due to a flexor strain in his left index finger. He sustained this injury just before spring training. The southpaw was initially scheduled to throw on Saturday but will now look to take the mound on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status in case he faces a setback. Last season, Montgomery held a career-worst 6.23 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP across 117 innings. He tallied only 83 punchouts and generated a poor .283 xBA. Montgomery is competing for a spot in the back half of the Arizona rotation. However, given his struggles last season, he may open the 2025 campaign in a long relief role.
