X-Rays Come Back Negative On Addison Barger
1 min agoThe X-ray results came back negative on Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand). Barger exited Sunday's spring training contest early after being hit by a pitch. However, seeing that his x-rays returned negative, fantasy managers should not expect the infielder to miss much time. Barger could return to the starting lineup as early as later this week. The 25-year-old made his MLB debut last summer. Across his first 69 contests in the majors, Barger posted a .197/.250/.351 slash line. He tallied 11 doubles with seven long balls. He swiped two bags. He struck out at a hefty 26.7 percent rate and only drew walks at a 6.2 percent rate. When he returns to action, Barger will compete for the starting job at third base alongside Ernie Clement.
