Trevor Gott Signs Minor-League Deal With Seattle
6 hours agoRight-handed pitcher Trevor Gott signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. This contract includes an invitation to spring training. Gott missed the entire 2024 campaign after undergoing Tommy John surgery. During the 2023 campaign, the right-hander spent time with the Mariners and the New York Mets. Across 58 total innings of relief, Gott posted a 4.19 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP. He tallied 62 punchouts and showed strong command of his pitches as he posted a 7.2 percent walk rate. He also generated an elite 4.5 percent barrel rate. Fantasy managers should monitor his status during spring training, as he could compete for a role in the Seattle bullpen. If he earns a spot on the major league roster, fantasy managers should expect the 32-year-old to operate as a low-leverage reliever.
