Bobby Miller Struck By Comebacker In Cactus League Opener
1 day agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Bobby Miller (head) was struck in the head by a comebacker in a scary situation on Thursday in the team's Cactus League opener against the Chicago Cubs. The good news is that Miller was able to walk off the field after trainers came to check on him. The 25-year-old walked the first batter he faced in the third inning before Michael Busch hit a line drive off Miller's head, which knocked him to the ground. He will most certainly be checked for a concussion and could miss some time in spring training as a result. It's unclear at this point if the injury will affect Miller's readiness for the start of the 2025 regular season. He dealt with injuries in 2024 and had an ugly 8.52 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 13 minor-league starts, which led to him finishing the year in the minors. Miller's latest head injury won't do him any favors of winning a rotation spot in L.A. to begin the year.
