Dynasty Fantasy Football: 4 Veteran Players to Sell Low in 2025 Before Their Trade Value Crashes

Tyreek Hill - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Avoid age declines in fantasy football dynasty leagues. Sell these fantasy football veterans low in dynasty leagues before their trade value drops even further.

Welcome to the 2025 NFL offseason, RotoBallers! As NFL teams prepare to scout for the NFL Combine and sign free agents on the open market, we will examine veterans to sell low on in dynasty fantasy football leagues. If there is one inevitable thing for athletes, it's Father Time.

In addition to aging veterans, other reasons to sell low on veteran players are their production windows closing, injury concerns, or fantasy managers with poor rosters looking to rebuild a team by trading expiring players for assets in return and helping your team be competitive soon.

This article will examine valuable players fantasy managers should consider shopping around to acquire future picks or younger players.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Was anyone more frustrated during the final stretch of the fantasy football season than Cooper Kupp fantasy owners? The Los Angeles wide receiver was virtually absent for the Rams during this period.

From Week 15 through Week 17 of the 2024 season, Kupp received just NINE targets, hauled in four receptions, had a mere 53 receiving yards, and zero touchdowns. This sudden dip in production was a surprise, leaving fantasy managers in a tough spot. At the end of the season, Kupp finished as the WR40.

As we look ahead to the 2025 season, Kupp will turn 32 in June, and he’s certainly not getting any younger. Moreover, the Rams have notified Kupp that they will seek a trade right away and collaborate with his family to find the ideal place for him to continue competing for championships.

Kupp has also struggled with lower-body injuries recently, raising questions about his health and how much the 2021 triple crown receiver has left in the tank.

The biggest question now is which team Kupp will join. Could a favorable situation turn him into a valuable fantasy football option for managers in 2025?

Fantasy managers should think about selling him at a low price. At this stage in his career, Kupp is, at best, a low-end WR2, yet he still has a strong enough name that could return valuable assets to help you build your team for the future.

Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns

First, I want to ensure that Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb gets the credit he deserves. In Week 2 of 2023, he suffered a season-ending knee injury that caused him to not only miss the whole season but also repair MULTIPLE ligaments in his knee, including his MCL, meniscus, and ACL.

That type of injury can derail someone's entire career, and he worked extremely hard to come back in the 2024 season and finished with 322 rush yards and four touchdowns over eight games.

Chubb is a four-time Pro Bowler and, from 2018-22, one of the best running backs in the game. He is a fan favorite and a great locker-room guy; however, dynasty fantasy managers need to be real about his injuries, which are stacking up, and his age, which is 29.

Chubb has not indicated that he plans to retire and has publicly stated he wants to finish his career with the Browns, so, at best, he has another few years to produce for fantasy managers.

At best, Chubb is a weekly RB3 who will earn eight to 15 touches a game and be touchdown-dependent. Gone are the days when we see Chubb touching the ball 20-plus times per game and breaking off 60-yard touchdown runs, unfortunately.

Fantasy managers who own Chubb in dynasty should put him on the trading block and look to acquire future draft picks or a player(s) who are younger to help contribute.

Amari Cooper, WR, Buffalo Bills

Has anybody found Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper around in a Bills uniform? Because clearly, Bills quarterback Josh Allen hasn't.

Jokes aside, the Bills had a fantastic season, and there's no denying they are a run-first offense. The Bills traded for Cooper before their Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Over an eight-game stretch with the Bills, Cooper caught 20 passes for 297 yards and two scores. He also didn't make much of an impact in the playoffs, catching six passes for 41 yards in three games.

From 2019 to 2023, Cooper had 1,000-plus receiving yards every year but one, in which he had 865 receiving yards. In addition, he hauled in five or more touchdowns in those years and eight or more in three of those five years.

The drop-off in production in 2024 should be very concerning for fantasy managers in dynasty leagues. Cooper, a former first-round pick, is now 30 years old and is certainly on the back nine of his football career.

The most concerning thing for fantasy managers should be Cooper's overall opportunities. Volume is king in fantasy football, and it was very clear based on his stats with the Bills and watching the games that not only are the Bills a run-first offense, but Allen's rapport with Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, and other receivers was better than what Allen and Cooper were able to build throughout the season.

The silver lining is that ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has reported the Bills are interested in bringing Cooper back in 2025, so a full offseason could help Cooper's relationship with Allen.

But I would not advise fantasy managers to take that chance. Cooper is still a high-profile name and is getting to a point in his career where it's unlikely he will return to his WR1 days. Fantasy managers should look to sell this veteran and gain future capital.

Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill's inclusion on this list may surprise some people, but hear me out. Hill is coming off arguably his worst statistical season since his rookie year in 2016. He failed to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards (959) and had six touchdowns, which is tied for the lowest he has had to this point in his career.

Hill is known as a speedster. His ability to run after the catch (YAC) and catch the long ball is where he has provided the most value for fantasy managers at this point in his career. At age 30, Hill likely only has a few years left to maintain this level of production, and the return that fantasy managers could get for him is likely substantial.

Depending on the makeup of your dynasty team, if you have other younger wide receivers and need help in other areas, you could likely help fill those gaps by trading someone like Hill for a few assets. Fantasy managers should consider selling low on Hill to help improve the makeup of their team.
