CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/15/25)

Johni Broome - College Basketball Rankings, NCAA CBB DFS Lineup Picks - icon rotoballer

The college basketball tournaments have been given a boost with the NBA on break and the NHL doing the Four Nations Tournament. College basketball takes DFS center stage for a few days and I'll be here with you from now until Wednesday so you can get your DFS fix in.

We have three big slates today, with 28 games stretching from noon until around midnight. The main and afternoon slates have 10 games each, and the eight-game nightcap will take us to the finish line.

Here are my picks across all CBB DFS slates on Saturday, February 15 with the main slate starting at noon Eastern on DraftKings. The afternoon slate gets started at 3 p.m. with the late slate locking at 8 Eastern. The times changed a little bit for this slate.

Today's Main Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Best Matchups:

Arkansas guards vs. Texas A&M

Georgetown wings vs. Butler

Penn State frontcourt vs. Washington

Washington frontcourt vs. Penn State

Core Pieces:

Braden Smith, Purdue ($10.8K)

That is why Smith is a staple in my DFS lineups. He does a lot of things and does them well. He has at least 32 DraftKings points in every game since Christmas. He has topped 40 in 11 of those. Smith's consistency is almost unparalleled.

CJ Gunn, DePaul ($7K)

Gunn has at least 23 DraftKings points in nine straight games. He was inconsistent to start the year, but he has become the most consistent scorer on a DePaul team that desperately needed one. The ceiling isn't that high, but his floor has been safe for the last five weeks or so.

D.J. Wagner, Arkansas ($6.7K)

Johnell Davis was the guy who initially took over in the absence of Boogie Fland, but Wagner has been the more consistent of the two. I prefer Davis in GPP formats and Wagner for cash. Wagner has at least 22 DraftKings points in five straight games.

Value Pieces:

Jonathan Powell, West Virginia ($4.6K)

Powell has played at least 34 minutes in every game since January 12. He has double-digit DraftKings points in all but one of those games. He's a guy who plays a ton of minutes at a low price. That usually makes for a good value play.

Chandler Jackson, Florida State ($4.4K)

Jackson doesn't play the minutes that Powell does, but Clemson is the only team to hold him in single digits since December 7. Can they do it again? In Tallahassee? I'll be against it, but most won't. We may get Jackson at low ownership.

Joseph Yesufu, West Virginia ($4.4K)

The Mountaineers needed a spark off the bench. That has been Yesufu in February. He has at least a dozen DraftKings points in five straight games and has played more than 20 minutes in all but one of those.

Slate-Breaking Potential:

Zvonimir Ivisic, Arkansas ($8.9K)

His twin brother Tomislav seemed to be the Ivisic to watch a couple of months ago. Recently, Zvonimir -- the better prospect of the two -- has started playing like it. The whole Arkansas team has followed. Ivisic has at least 35 DraftKings points in three straight games, topping 50 once.

Great Osobor, Washington ($8.6K)

The purpose of this section is to highlight players in great matchups who maybe aren't the most consistent producers. That's Osobor's Washington tenure. Osobor has nine games above 40 DraftKings points. He also has three below 20. This is a great matchup, but caveat emptor.

Wade Taylor IV, Texas A&M ($6.9K)

Taylor is one of the hardest DFS players to use because he's so inconsistent, but it's not often (or ever) that you find a guy with a 50+ ceiling in this price range. He's the perfect GPP target.

Today's Afternoon Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Best Matchups:

North Carolina guards vs. Syracuse

Oklahoma guards vs. LSU

Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma State

Duke wings vs. Stanford

Auburn frontcourt vs. Alabama

Core Pieces:

Johni Broome, Auburn ($11K)

Broome scored 49 points and hauled in 24 rebounds in two games against the Tide last year. Things change with the transfer portal now, but Alabama still has problems with opposing big men. Broome could go nuclear in this one.

Wooga Poplar, Villanova ($8K)

When Poplar gets hot, he's hard to stop. We saw that at Miami. He has 86.5 DraftKings points over the last two games and put up 35.25 in the first meeting with Providence. He has been on a different level since his benching against Marquette.

Matt Cross, SMU ($7.9K)

Virginia is the only team to hold Cross under 24 DraftKings points since November 15. He's a warrior who always comes through for us in DFS. We're not going to make this complicated.

Value Pieces:

Aziz Bandaogo, Cincinnati ($4.8K)

A dream matchup against UCF launched his mini-hot streak in which Bandaogo has  74.5 DraftKings points in the last three games. He has played at least 25 minutes in all three of those games. This is a tough matchup against Iowa State, but the minutes and shots aren't going anywhere.

Rich Barron, Providence ($4.6K)

The Friars took it easy with Barron in his first couple of games back, but he has played 100 minutes over the last three games. Barron's contributions don't always show up in the box score, but he has been shooting a lot more than he did before he got hurt. This is a trend worth monitoring.

Michael Nwoko, Mississippi State ($4.4K)

Nwoko is a high-energy piece off the bench who doesn't rely on scoring to get his DFS numbers. He only scored three points in the first meeting with the Rebels and still put up 14.5 DraftKings points.

Slate-Breaking Potential:

JT Toppin ($10.1K)

Toppin dropped 41 points and 15 rebounds on Arizona State -- and a staggering 70.75 DraftKings points -- this week. He's mad. Broome and Cooper Flagg don't have that ceiling. That's how to gain separation in a GPP.

RJ Davis, North Carolina ($8.6K)

The matchups won't get any better for Davis. He has at least 48 DraftKings points in three games so far this season. This is a good candidate for a fourth, but his floor is less than half that total.

Ty-Laur Johnson, Wake Forest ($6.7K)

Johnson entered the starting lineup on New Year's Eve. Wake has gone 9-3 since that point. Johnson was known as a pass-first point guard at Louisville last year, but he has started to create his own looks as well. Johnson has cleared 30 DraftKings points three times in the last five games after not hitting the 25-point mark in the first 16 games. He has a measurable upside now.

Today's Late Slate DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Best Matchups:

Kansas vs. Utah

Kansas State wings vs. BYU

Texas frontcourt vs. Kentucky

TCU frontcourt vs. Arizona State

Core Pieces:

Collin Murray-Boyles, South Carolina ($10.2K)

Turnovers were an issue early on, but CMB has shelved those issues. He has at least 30 DraftKings points in all but one game in the last month. He has topped 35 in six of the last seven and seven of the nine games since January 13.

Tre Johnson, Texas ($9.3K)

Back in November, we heard talking heads compare him to Kevin Durant. That was an unfair comparison for a guy with no college experience, but here we are in February and he's getting close. He has at least 29 DraftKings points in six straight games, breaking 40 twice in that span.

Magoon Gwath, San Diego State ($6.5K)

Gwath is already the best rim protector in college basketball, but he is just now getting comfortable on offense. Gwath has 75 points, 45 rebounds, and 13 blocks in the last five games. Look out world, we have another budding freshman star in a class full of them.

Value Pieces:

Amier Ali, Arizona State ($4.9K)

Ali has played 71 minutes in the last two games and picked up 64.25 DraftKings points. Arizona State has leaned heavily on Ali off the bench. As long as he's playing this many minutes, I don't care if he comes off of Mars.

Denzel Aberdeen, Florida ($4.8K)

Even though Florida's backcourt is finally healthy, Aberdeen is still playing big minutes. He has scored in double figures in three straight games. Aberdeen has been instrumental in Florida's recent run and he's still this cheap.

Jared Coleman-Jones, San Diego State ($4.5K)

Coleman-Jones has at least 20 DraftKings points in five of the last eight games. His minutes still fluctuate based on game flow, but the Aztecs are going to need him against the size of Boise inside. He should play well over 20 minutes tonight.

Slate-Breaking Potential:

Hunter Dickinson, Kansas ($9.8K)

Dickinson topped 50 DraftKings points three times in the first month of the season. He hasn't hit that mark since, but he has been sniffing around in the 40s a couple of times lately. If he going to break though, it could be against a struggling Utah front.

Coleman Hawkins, Kansas State ($9.4K)

Hawkins is another guy with that kind of upside that is also having an up-and-down season. The difference is that Hawkins has been more up than down lately. Hawkins has more than 40 DraftKings points in three of the last five games after only hitting the mark four times in the first 19 games.

Augustas Marciulionis, St. Mary's ($8.9K)

The price is up $1.4K since last week when Marciulionis made his debut in this section. Why? He has 92.75 DraftKings points in the two games since. This is a tough matchup against Washington State on paper, but those willing to run Marcuilionis could cash in on big dividends.
