It was a tale of two seasons for Tanner Houck in 2024 as the right-hander posted a 2.54 ERA before the all-star break and a 4.23 ERA after the all-star break. However, I'm not putting a ton of weight into his second half performance as Houck's178.2 innings in 2024 were a career-high mark by a considerable margin. You have to wonder if he simply ran out of steam. The Red Sox had Houck simplify his arsenal to just a sweeper, sinker, and splitter last season, and the results were encouraging. Maybe he's not 2024 first half good, but Houck could return Top 50 SP value in 2025, maybe even better than that if he can get the strikeout rate to tick up.--Eric Cross - RotoBaller
