Alex Len Joins Lakers
37 mins agoVeteran center Alex Len has signed a deal to join the Los Angeles Lakers. Len was available as a free agent after the Washington Wizards waived him. The Wizards acquired Len from the Sacramento Kings last week. He had a limited role on the Kings, averaging 7.2 minutes per game over 36 contests this season. The Ukrainian big man should receive more playing time with the Lakers, who needed to add another big body after the team's unsuccessful trade for Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams. Len will compete for playing time with Jaxson Hayes, who has averaged 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 24.6 minutes this month as the starting center.
