Cardinals Sign Rob Kaminsky To Minor-League Contract
21 seconds agoAccording to the team, the St. Louis Cardinals signed left-handed pitcher Rob Kaminsky to a minor-league contract. Kaminsky was initially drafted by the Cardinals in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He then returned to the Cardinals for a second stint. He has logged only four 2/3 career innings in the major league. Across this brief taste, he tallied three punchouts and allowed one earned run. Last summer, he logged 47 innings with Triple-A Tacoma and held a hefty 7.66 ERA and a 1.87 WHIP. He tallied 45 strikeouts but served up 17 free passes. Across his minor league career, Kaminsky has been deployed both as a starter and a reliever. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his progress but expect Kaminsky to open the campaign at the Triple-A level, given his lack of MLB experience.
