Now that the NFL season is officially over, everyone's attention will turn to the 2025 NFL Draft. If you are in a dynasty league and own the first overall pick in your rookie drafts, then you might pay extra close attention to this year's class.
Owning the first overall pick in your rookie draft is a luxury and could really help turn around your team. As it stands now, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is the favorite to be selected with the 1.01 in rookie drafts.

Ashton Jeanty College Stats
Jeanty played three seasons at Boise State and immediately made an impact in his freshman year back in 2022. The 5-foot-9 running back ran for 821 yards and seven touchdowns. Although he played second-fiddle to George Holani out of the Broncos backfield in his first college season, he fully overtook him in his sophomore campaign.
The Florida native ran for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns that season while also catching 569 yards and five touchdowns in the passing game. Despite leading the conference in rush yards during 2023, it wasn't until this past year that Jeanty really took his game to the next level. As a matter of fact, the Boise State product just put together one of the best college seasons for a running back in history.

Jeanty ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns this past season for the Broncos. He averaged 185.8 rush yards per game and seven yards per carry in his final college campaign. Those 2,601 rush yards were the second-most rush yards in FBS history, only being Barry Sanders' 2,628 yards back in 1988.
Should I Pick Ashton Jeanty With The First Overall Pick In Dynasty Rookie Drafts?
There's no doubt that Jeanty was one of, if not the best, players in college football this past year. He almost broke the rushing record and helped Boise State make the college football playoffs. As a result, the 21-year-old running back should be the first overall pick in 2025 dynasty rookie drafts.

There is really no offensive prospect that compares to Jeanty, and the running back's explosiveness should make him a star in the league one day. While his landing spot in the 2025 NFL Draft does matter a little bit, this is a player who should thrive in any situation.
Jeanty will almost certainly be drafted in the top 15 in this year's draft, with teams like the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys the likeliest landing spots for him. If the running back were to land in either of those places, he would be the unanimous 1.01 in both one-quarterback and Superflex dynasty rookie leagues.
