According to C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic, the Cincinnati Reds are inviting third base prospects Cam Collier and Sal Stewart to spring training. Among these two infielders, top pitching prospect Chase Burns will also receive an invite. Collier is ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the system on MLB.com. Collier was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. The Chipola College product spent the entire 2024 season at the High-A level and held his own as he posted a .248/.355/.443 line with 21 doubles and 20 home runs. He tallied 74 RBI and held a 66:127 BB:K ratio. Stewart is considered to be the No. 4 ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com. Stewart joined the Reds in the 2022 MLB Draft. Stewart also spent all of last season with High-A Dayton and posted a strong .279/.391/.454 line with 23 doubles, eight long balls, and 10 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should expect both infielders to open the season at Double-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier (thumb) is dealing with a thumb injury and could miss some time. Collier was reassigned to minor-league camp earlier this week. The infielder suffered this injury on a tag play during spring training. Collier is considered one of the top prospects in the Cincinnati system. The Reds drafted the 20-year-old with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. Last season, Collier made his High-A debut and posted a .248/.355/.443 slash line with 21 doubles and 20 home runs. He swiped two bags and held a 66:127 BB:K ratio. The previous season, Collier logged 111 games at Single-A and posted a .246/.349/.356 line. When healthy, fantasy managers should expect Collier to push for an early-season Double-A debut.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The Cincinnati Reds reassigned shortstop Edwin Arroyo and third baseman Cam Collier to minor-league camp on Wednesday. Additionally, the Reds sent right-hander Jose Acuna, catcher Michael Trautwein, outfielder Hector Rodriguez (No. 11) and infielder Ivan Johnson to minor-league camp. Arroyo (No. 5) and Collier (No. 4) are two of the team's top prospects and are also ranked by MLB Pipeline as top-100 prospects in all of baseball entering the 2025 season. Arroyo, 21, was never really expected to make Cincy's Opening Day roster after missing all of the 2024 campaign due to surgery to fix a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He will likely begin the year at Double-A Chattanooga. Collier, who is a year younger than Arroyo, also wasn't a realistic option to break camp on the big-league roster for Opening Day. He, too, should start 2025 at Chattanooga with Arroyo.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has snapped his previous 1-for-13 skid he held for most of last week. In his previous three games, the first-round selection in the 2022 MLB Draft has gone 5-for-9 with a .556/.600/.778 line with five RBI and two doubles. Prior to his minor cold stretch, the infielder posted a dominant .417/.523/.722 line his previous 10 games. Collier has spent the entire summer at High-A and held a solid .248/.344/.424 line with 15 home runs, 59 RBI, 19 doubles and a 50:119 BB:K ratio through 99 games. The 19-year-old is ranked as the fifth-best prospect in the Reds system on MLB.com and should spend most of next summer in the upper levels of the minor leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has won High-A Midwest League Player of the Week with a big performance this past week. Baseball's No. 82 prospect per MLB Pipeline went 10-for-17 with two homers, five RBI and eight runs scored to earn the honor. Collier, 19, has really come into his own in his third professional season, hitting .246 with a career-high 15 home runs to go along with 53 RBI and 53 runs scored. Collier has quick bat speed from the left side of the plate and has seen his power improve in 2024. He is a few years away the big leagues, but if he continues to improve at this rate, he could be promoted quicker than expected. In the middle of a breakout campaign, he should be on the radar of dynasty managers.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
