Angels Invite Christian Moore To Spring Training
2 mins agoAccording to the team, the Los Angeles Angels have invited infield prospect Christian Moore to spring training. Moore was drafted by the Halos with the eighth overall pick in last year's draft. Moore made headlines late last season in his brief taste of professional ball. He needed only two games with Single-A to earn the call to Double-A. In his brief taste of Single-A ball, the Tennessee product tallied six hits (two doubles, one home run) with six RBI. Then in 22 games with Double-A Rocket City, Moore posted an impressive .322/.378/.533 slash line. He tallied four doubles, five long balls, 14 RBI, and swiped two bags. He held an 8:29 BB:K ratio. Fantasy managers should closely monitor his status during spring training as he could make a case for the second base job. Luis Rengifo may shift to shortstop to cover for Zach Neto (shoulder), who may not be ready for Opening Day, which could open a path for Moore to crack the Opening Day roster.
