Welcome back, RotoBallers! The day is finally here, the Chiefs made it back to the Super Bowl and look to complete the three-peat that no one else has accomplished. They will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles, who they faced in the Super Bowl just two years ago.
I will be handling the FanDuel side, but if you are playing on DraftKings, check out John's article here!
I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel for the Chiefs vs. Eagles NFL DFS showdown on February 9. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain Plays
Patrick Mahomes - QB, Kansas City Chiefs - $14K (FD)
Key Stats
- 2024 Playoff Stats: 422 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 18 rushing attempts, 57 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns
Patrick Mahomes has had his ups and downs this season, but I have no doubt we will get another classic Mahomes performance here. He is averaging nearly 20 FP a game, and you can always count on Mahomes being one of the Chiefs' top performers.
Jalen Hurts - QB, Philadelphia Eagles - $13.5K (FD)
Key Stats
- 2024 Playoff Stats: 505 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 23 rushing attempts, 122 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns
Saquon Barkley would likely be the cash play and will be heavily owned in the captain spot, but we have all seen how Jalen Hurts can take carries away, especially within the 5-yard line. Hurts had three touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game and finished with 33 FP.
Hurts is a solid way to get off the chalk of Saquon, and maybe the Chiefs run defense is so focused on Saquon that it gives Hurts the ability to make a move.
Jalen Hurts completed a league-high 76.1% of his passes against disguised safety shells this season, compared to 65.6% against non-disguised coverages.
His +10.5% increase in completion percentage on such attempts is the largest in the NFL.#KCvsPHI | #SuperBowlLIX pic.twitter.com/s4akMOWJvN

DFS Flex Plays
DeVonta Smith- WR, Philadelphia Eagles - $11K (FD)
Key Stats
- 2024 Playoff Stats: 12 targets, 12 receptions, 121 receiving yards
DeVonta Smith comes into this one with an injury designation, but I'm sure that will drop off soon. A.J. Brown will likely garner higher ownership, so I will gladly take the discount on Smith here.
Smith gets a great matchup here; he should be lined up against Chamarri Conner in the slot where Smith usually lines up. Conner allows .36 FP per route run this season, which is the best matchup on this slate. I'm expecting a big game here from Smith, and he should be a big contributor to this offense.
DeVonta Smith has played the Chiefs 3 times…
6+ catches in all 3 games
99+ yards in all 3 games
2+ explosives in all 3 gamesHas DESTROYED their zone.

Xavier Worthy - WR, Kansas City Chiefs- $11.5K (FD)
- 2024 Playoff Stats: 22 targets, 19 receptions, 209 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns
Most of my pairs with Mahomes will involve Xavier Worthy and/or Travis Kelce. Both guys have been critical in their success during the playoffs. He will have a tough matchup, but he has been able to get into open space as well as make plays in the run game. I'm all in on Worthy being the top receiving play for the Chiefs.
Other Flex Options: Kareem Hunt, Travis Kelce, Dallas Goedert, Marquise Brown
DFS Value Plays
JuJu Smith-Schuster - WR, Kansas City Chiefs - $7K (FD)
There isn't a lot of value on this slate, as a lot of guys are priced up, so we are going to have to make some tough decisions. It's a bit of risk with JuJu Smith-Schuster with him being WR4 in K.C., but that didn't stop him from being a deep threat in the AFC Championship Game. He played 26 more snaps than DeAndre Hopkins did, and I expect Smith-Schuster to be featured more in the offense than Hopkins.
Jake Elliott - K, Philadelphia Eagles - $9K (FD)
The Eagles run a tight ship and hardly make passes to even a third WR. Jake Elliott will have prime kicking conditions in the Super Bowl. He has missed only one field goal during the playoffs on seven attempts and hit all seven of his extra points in the NFC Championship Game against the Commanders. If the Chiefs can stop the Eagles on their side of the field, we could see quite a few field-goal attempts from Elliott.
Other Value Plays: Harrison Butker, Noah Gray, Kenneth Gainwell
Enjoy your week, and good luck, everyone!
